Ananda College Colombo to Esigelec Graduate School of Engineering – France to Become a Mechatronics Engineer Hi, I am Thavindu Samarsinghe from Ananda College Colombo. While I was waiting for my A/L Results, I got to know about the AIC`s 5Years Msc France Transfer Program. I went and met the admissions team of AIC Campus and they offered me an option of completing the first 2 years in Sri Lanka and to transfer to France for last 3 Years. In my first 2 Years we learnt the subjects of Engineering Physics, Mathematics, Computer Science and Engineering. Also we learnt French language as a parallel subject. In the beginning, I thought French language is going to be the biggest challenge but when I started to study, it was very interesting and exciting, now I speak French better than English. I`m a fourth year student and I`m doing Mechatronics Engineering at ESIGELEC in classical cycle. ESIGELEC is a practical oriented engineering school which is really a good thing as we understand what is necessary for real life jobs as we learn. We have to do Internship for each year. However ESIGELEC has an online platform for the students, from where we can apply for internships as well as for jobs which is really useful. I have lived in France for more than a year and it has been a wonderful experience and we got to learn a lot about French culture and had fun in so many ways.
